Wedding Photography: Giving the Best Service

Cheshire wedding photographyBell chimes and everybody cheers on the couple to kiss. Smiling awkwardly the groom, well, the husband, to be exactly, pulled the bride over and comes the first married couple kiss. And you, are to be there to capture the moment!

What else is there in giving the best as the in charge of a Cheshire wedding photography? Here’s what you need to know:

Dress properly.

Of course, you’ll be attending a wedding party even though you are not invited as a guest. Properly dressed for the party won’t make you look ridiculous and shows respect to the couple. Wearing shirts is one bad example. But don’t wear something that is too shiny or attention seeking because you are obviously not there to party. Wear something that goes according to the dress code.

Don’t forget that among those attending, some might be your future potential clients. And you would want to look proper for your first meeting.

Know the venue.

Simply knowing where the event will be held and leave it to your creativity on the D-day is not enough. If you’ve never been to the place, make some time to visit and explore spots to take your pictures. This way, you’ll be letting your mind wander around the place even when you’re not there and you’re likely to be able to capture better pictures during the event.

Take the shots… properly

You have probably seen and encounter funny and ridiculous poses and actions that photographers do to take pictures from certain angles. These should not be happening. Can you imagine yourself, in the middle of the process, suddenly crawling on the floor or tip toeing right behind or beside the couple just to take a certain shot? That makes it uncomfortable and even impolite for some people to see.

Warm up to your clients.

Some shots require your clients to be comfortable with being around you. Especially in Cheshire wedding photography, your photographer will be more likely to be around you to get good wedding pictures. The preparation and dressing moments are ones that many couples have said beautiful and memorable but yet, many don’t have because they are not comfortable with being half naked around their photographers.

When you meet or communicate with your clients, show personal interest as someone genuinely happy for them and ask beforehand if they’re comfortable with it. Tell them that the pictures will be worth it and that you’re very professional. But, don’t appear to be forcing yourself if the couples still don’t prefer it.

Have someone assist you.

Having an extra hand in holding your equipment and taking extra shots around the venue with his or her own perspective might add value to your service. Preferably someone of the opposite sex can be helping a lot with perspective issues and being comfortable around them.

A discussion between photographers made up of husband and wife have claimed that they are getting more valuable photos and easier in getting some private shots especially with clients that are not comfortable with the opposite sex. This way you are catering to their needs without discomforting them.
